Enrollment of students in the collegiate department exceeded those enrolled in
the Academy for the first time.
1913
ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø graduate John Hugh Reynolds was installed as the fourth president of
ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø.
A two-story frame home became the first rooming house for female ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø students,
who named the facility "The Wig-Wam."
The student newspaper, The Bull Dog, was first published. After 1929
the publication became the College Profile.
1914
A home for the ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø president was constructed on campus. The building and
furnishings were financed by contributions from ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø alumni.
1917-1918
The Student Army Training Corps was established on campus during World War I.
Half of the student body was struck by an influenza epidemic which caused two
deaths.
1919
Martin Hall for male students was dedicated. It was the first "modern" residence
hall at the college.
1920
Memorial stature of World War I soldier dedicated.
