ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø-in-Washington

The College has established a “study-away" semester in Washington, DC, held every fall semester. The program is in partnership with The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Semesters (TWC), a nonprofit, nonpartisan educational organization. Students participating in the program earn four ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø academic credits by completing: 1) a substantive internship with an organization of interest within the government, nonprofit, or private sector; 2) a leadership forum which includes a distinguished speakers series, civic engagement projects, and public policy dialogues; 3) a TWC elective course selected from such areas as American politics, public policy and administration, business management, communications, international affairs and foreign policy, law and criminal justice, leadership, and science and technology; 4) a place-based, experiential learning course taught by a ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø professor and entitled, A Capital Odyssey: Living and Learning in Washington, DC. Additionally, student participants are eligible to earn two Odyssey credits (PL and SP).

A summer program at TWC is also available, through which students earn two ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø academic and one Odyssey credits.
