  • Greene Chapel

Greene Chapel is the center of religious life on campus. It's a beautiful reminder of our United Methodist heritage. Nice place for a wedding too.

Facing the water fountain in the center of campus, Greene Chapel hosts weekly and special worship services throughout the year, as well as the ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø Choir’s Candlelight Carol Service each December. It is also used frequently for weddings of ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø alumni and community members. The ceiling design and beam layout in Greene Chapel are designed to resemble a sailing ship; the body of the Chapel is called the nave (from navis, the Latin word for ship). The design echoes the ancient view that the Church is a ship carrying the faithful on life’s journey from this world to the next. Greene Chapel ranked /life/religiouslife/5 on a list by theologydegrees.com of the 50 Most Amazing College Chapels and Churches.
